Vision Australia - Camp Joe
Story
Hello!
We're fundraising to help give the gifts of freedom and independence to people who are blind or have low vision.
Your donation will go towards sending 12 Vision Australia clients aged between 15-18, who are blind or have low vision to Ontario, Canada and attend the renowned Camp Joe for approx. 2 weeks.
Canadian National Institute for the Blind's (CNIB) Lake Joseph Centre (commonly known as “Lake Joe”) is a fully accessible lakefront facility located in the Muskoka region, providing an opportunity to prepare for employment in Australia as well as a unique blend of recreation and vision rehabilitation in a safe, inclusive environment. There, a wide range of programs are available to people of all ages who are living with vision loss including employment skills, sports, recreation, friendship development and independent living skills. Following the camp, all participants will visit Niagara Falls before flying back to Australia.
